Diversity is White Genocide
by corrie54 inasia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.
everybody says there is this race problem.
everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

Did Jesus exist? Probably not
by The 12 Apostates inthreads about this have been made before, but none have been made for a few years.
i was very much on the fence with this one, i never really cared.
but i became curious recently, having had a few interactions with street preachers.

I'm always a bit cagey when people start talking about the entire story of Jesus being part of some recurring allegory, it all sounds a bit Zeitgeist-esque. I'll have to look into what you just wrote, because I've never come across this particular interpretation before.

I'm not sure what to make of this thread, or where to begin. This all seems very reactionary, and any legitimate concerns are presented in such a hysterical fashion that it's hard to even read them, let alone take them seriously.
I will make one very concise point. Most of the world's problems* are caused almost exclusively by three things: fear, greed and tribalism. This thread concerns the latter, and the solution is for people of all types to somehow learn to come together and exist as one people. Fat chance of that happening though, let's be honest.
* Specifically the problems that pertain to the politics of people, as opposed to environmental concerns like climate change, habitat loss, and mass extinction (all of which are far more important than any of this, by the way).

I would say that this thread (which has more-or-less run its course now) was more about historicity than the religious motivations of believers. I appreciate your opinion, but I can't at all relate to someone who genuinely believes in people returning from the dead.
All I can say is, people have suffered and given their lives for much less, so I don't find it at all hard to believe that people would die for something that never happened. I should also point out that these people who suffered and died almost certainly believed the resurrection story to be true, they were just mistaken, just as those who fought and died for their belief that Muhammad went to heaven on a winged horse were (and still are) mistaken.

Is this how you saw your Armageddon? I sure did :(
by Diogenesister ini think most of our imaginations of the new world was probably nothing like the watchtower reality.
after all, we jws are very good at avoiding uncomfortable truths!
you can tell micheal jackson was a certain type of jehovahs witness.

It really says something that the religion's beliefs are so deranged that most of its adherents don't truly believe it.

Ignorance of Watchtower doctrine among young JW's
by nicolaou ini've been having a conversation with a young jw on twitter and have, once again, come up against beliefs that do not match up with official watchtower doctrine.
if you like you can read the full thread here (you'll need to click on some comments to open it all up).. anyway the upshot is that this jw, and many like her, believe that only truly wicked people will be killed at armageddon - not innocent babies and children or anyone who "didn't know better" perhaps because they didn't get a witness.
it's as though they cannot accept the obvious injustice of jehovah's morality.. this jw teenager believes that all these non-jw's who survive armageddon will get their chance to prove their loyalty during the 1000 year reign of christ - again, not a watchtower teaching.. i don't really have a question to ask, this is just an observation.

I would doubt that there have ever been many JWs of any age who are all that clued up on doctrine. Most don't really care about that sort of thing and rarely pay much attention at the meetings. Those who do care likely have a hard time keeping up anyway, since the doctrine changes all the time.

Serena not celebrating Valentines Day, like countless others
by carla inyet another serena williams story about her not celebrating a holiday.
she claims she is a jw even though most here say she is not because she wasn't baptized.
someone ought to do a real story on her hypocrisy.
-
The 12 Apostates
Dean says-Serena is a Jehovah's Witness. They do not believe in men and women not related even spending the night under the same roof. They do not believe in out of wedlock sex. they obviously do not accept out of wedlock pregnancy. Same sex marriages are forbidden. Abortion is considered murder, homosexuality is a serious sin. Marrying a non-believer is a serious offense. Modesty in dress is important. They believe that they are the only true faith.
Valentine's day is about love, and that's what they really don't believe in. There's nothing loving about armageddon.

I didn't see Michael Jackson surviving it, but then I didn't see myself surviving it either. Armageddon was always something that the better JWs were going to get through, not the lowly sinful ones like me. Plus I was never baptised, which is a prerequisite for survival.
